Caerphilly ended their Parker Pen European Shield campaign on a high note last week-end with a win over the Italian side.
It took a late try from Tongan International, Taunaholo Taufahema in the dying minutes of the game to give the green and whites a victory.
The much improved, stronger and more physical Italian side got of to an early lead with tries coming from Matthew Dowling and Gonzalo Rodriguez leaving Caerphilly with 15 - 0 deficit after 30 minutes of play.
Caerphilly fought back with tries from Sione Tuipolotu and Luke Richards to close the gap. The Italians edged ahead once again with 2 more tries coming from Nicola Androvandi and Lorezo Beduschi looking to have sealed their first win in the competition.
With only 4 minutes of play remaining, the pacey Tongan, Taufahema raced through to steal the Italian victory and deny GRAN Parma of a win.
Caerphilly outside-half, Luke Richards was responsible for 21 points on the day with a try, a drop-goal, 2 conversions and 3 penalties.
